Eligibility Criterion in Terms of R&P Rules for Faculty Posts :

The eligibility criteria for the various posts is given below as per criteria laid down in the recruitment rules and regulation by Govt of Himachal Pradesh.

Professor :

A recognised medical qualification included in the first or second or Part-ll of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification to the Indian Medical council act,1956, holders of educational qualification included in Part-ll of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.
A Post Graduate Degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Part-A of Anenexure-ll of its equivalent qualification.
At least 4 years Teaching experience as associate Professor.

Desirable Qualification :

(i) Knowledge of customs manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Publication of Research papers in the Index Journals.- as per MCI norms & regulations.

Associate Professors :

A recognised medical qualification included in the first or second or Part-ll of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification to the Indian Medical council act,1956, holders of educational qualification included in Part-ll of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.

A Post Graduate Degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Part-A of Anenexure-ll of its equivalent qualification

At least 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor failing which 6 years combined experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer after doing post Graduate Degree in concerned specialty in any recognized medical college.

Desirable Qualification :-

Knowledge of customs manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
Publication of Research papers in the Index Journals. – As per MCI norms & regulations.

Assistant Professor :

A Post Graduate Degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Part-A of annexure-ll of its equivalent qualifications.
At least 3 years teaching experience a lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrator/Resident after doing Post Graduation in concerned specialty in any recognised medical college.

Desirable Qualification :-

Knowledge of customs manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Publication of Research papers in the Index Journals. – As per MCI norms & regulations.

Pay & Allowances :

A consolidated fixed contractual amount for the post of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor.
