Educational qualification :

Field investigator

The candidate must posses high second class M.Sc./MA Degree in Demography/Population Studies/Statistics/Economics/Mathematics/Sociology/Social Work/Psychology, Anthropology/Geography with three years of experience in field work in the area of health, population studies, socio-economics survey (Relaxable with higher qualification). No application without requisite qualification and experience will be entertained.

UDC/Jr. Assistant

The candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from recognized board of School Education/University and should possess a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English typewriting or 25 words per minute in Hindi type writing on computer. One year diploma in Computer Science/Computer application/Information Technology from a recognised University/ Institution.

Work Experience : At least have worked for 5 years LDC/Clerk Typist) or should have worked as a Junior Assistant/UDC with good knowledge of dealing office work independently like maintaining office record personal files, service record of staff, accounts noting and drafting and other day to day office work preferably as required in research centre like PRCs (5 years experience relaxable in deserving cases)

Research Fellow-II

At least 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Demography/ Population Studies/ Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Sociology from a recognized Institution/University.

Experience : one year of experience in research of conducting socio-economic and demographic survey and preparing for report writing, methodology etc. after Post Graduation ( Relaxable in deserving case)

Desirable Qualification :

Knowledge of customs manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the Peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh and also knowledge in computer application.

Age Limit : 45 Years.

Salary :

Field Investigator : Old Pay Scale : 10300-34800+4200 GP

UDC/Jr. Assistant : Pay Scale : 10300-34800+3600 GP. i.e. 10300+3600=13900/-+DA @ 159% of BP+GP+HRA@1200/-per month (consolidated Pay of Rs. 37201/- per month)

Research Fellow-ll : Rs. 25000/- per month

Period of Contact :

Post of Research fellow-II and UDC/Junior Assistant will be filled on contract basis for one year in first instance and the contractual engagement of both the post can be renewed for a maximum period of three years subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and with prior approval of the same from the funding agency of the population Research Centre, i.e. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India New Delhi. The recruitment to the above stated post will be subject to the decision on the evaluation of PRC’s and that it could be terminated any time without assigning any reason even before the timeline of the annual contract.
