Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Shimla invited Online Recruitment Applications (ORA*) from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment to 04 (Un- reserved=02, SC of HP=01 and EWS of HP=01) posts of Company Commander/Senior Instructor/Store Officer/Centre Commander (on contract basis) on fixed contractual amount in Home Guards and Civil Defence, Himachal Pradesh.

Educational Qualification :

Should have passed Plus (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board of School Education:
Provided that matriculation and Plus two must be passed from any School/ Institute situated within Himachal Pradesh.
AND
Should be a released/retired Armed Forces Personnel who has held the rank of at least Subedar, Master ChiefPetty Officer (2 nd Class) or Warrant Officer of the Indian Armed Forces.
Or
Should be holding honorary Rank of Company Commander with combined service of five year in the honorary rank of Platton Commander, Senior Platoon Commander and Company Commander in the Home Guards Organization.
Or
Should be a regular Civil Defence Instructor/ Chief Instructor/ Platoon Commander/ Administrative Officer/ Assistant Store Officer, who has served as such for the three years in the H.P. Home Guards and Civil Defence Department.

Age Limit :

Between 18 to 45 years.
Provided that the upper age limit is relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes / Persons with disabilities and Children/Grand Children ofFreedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh as declared by the Govt. from timeto time. The age relaxation for these categories shall be admissible only if there is a post reserved for these categories. Age of a candidate shall be reckoned as on 01-01-2023.

Examination Fee :

Male candidates of General, General Physically Disabled (orthopedically disabled, Deaf & Dumb and Hearing Impaired), Economic Weaker Section (EWS) (not included in BPL category), Wards of Freedom Fighter categories (WFF) and General –Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh who are relieved from the Defence Serviceson their own request before completion of their normal tenure of service under the Government of India.	Re.400/-
Candidates of Other States (including reserved category(s) candidates of other states.)	Rs.400/-
Male candidates of SC, ST, OBC and EWS covered under UR – BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh and Ex-Servicemen candidates of Himachal Pradesh belonging to SC, ST and OBCcategories who are relieved from the Defence Services on their own request before completion of their normal tenure of service under the Government of India.	Rs.100/-
The Ex-Servicemen malecandidates of Himachal Pradesh who are relieved from the Defence Servicesafter completion of their normal tenure of service under the Government of India and the Blind and Visually Impaired male candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from paying the examination fee	No Fee
