Himachal Pradesh has launched HP Swaran Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship Scheme 2022 for meritorious students of Govt. schools. To identify and nurture talent at an early stage, the state Government is implementing Himachal Pradesh Swaraj Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship Scheme for Government schools.

What is the scheme For?

Selection of Top 100 Students for scholarship after passing 5^th class. Under the scheme, scholarship will be provided to meritorious students studying in class 6th, 7th and 8th of state government schools.

About the Scheme

Objective: To identify and nurture talent at an early stage

Scholarships: One hundred (100) scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit in Swaraj Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship HP SJMMSE for 3 Years i.e. from Class 6^th to class 8^th as follows:-

Class VI – Rs.4000- per month, for 12 months.
Class VIl –Rs.5000/- per month, for 12 months.
Class VIIl –Rs.6000/- per month, for 12 months

What will be Selection Criteria

A State Level Examination (HPSJMMS Examination) will be conducted by SCERT (H.P).

It will be mandatory for the students to have at least 75% attendance during the session.
The condition of 75% attendance will not be applicable in case of acute illness or any medical exigency.
To avail of the benefit of the scheme for 3 consecutive years, the student must continue to study in the government school without repeating any class.

Who can Apply for the Examination?

All students of Class- V studying in Govt. Primary Schools of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply for the HP Swaran Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship Examination (HPSJMMSE) to be conducted by the SCERT, Solan (H.P.) . Student must be studying in the 5^th class of any Govt. Primary School in Himachal Pradesh in the current session.

District Wise Quota :

100 students will be selected purely on the basis of merit in this examination following district wise quota as given in the scheme available on official website of Directorate of Elementary Education H P.

1 scholarship to a student of District Lahaul-Spiti
5 scholarships to students of District Bilaspur
5 scholarships to students of District Hamirpur
7 scholarships to students of District Una
8 scholarships to students of District Kullu
11 scholarships to students of District Shimla
11 scholarships to students of District Sirmour
11 scholarships to students of District Solan
12 scholarships to students of District Chamba
14 scholarships to students of District Kangra
14 scholarships to students of District Mandi
