Selection Criteria :
The selection of candidates for the award of the scholarship is a two-stage examination process.
First Stage:
The first stage is a screening examination. Any student studying in fifth class in a Government School can appear in this examination. The first stage examination will be conducted in around 400 Examination Centers in H.P. on 2nd March, 2025 (Sunday). There will be a maximum of four numbers of Govt. Senior Secondary Schools as Examination Center in each educational block such that students have easy access to the Examination Centre.
In this examination five times the total number of scholarships i.e. about 500 candidates (as per district quota) will be shortlisted to appear in the second stage examination SJMMSSE-2024-25
Second Stage:
As per the scheme, the candidates shortlisted in the first stage of examination will appear for 2 stage examination to be organized by SCERT, Solan (H.P.) in one of the Govt. Degree Colleges of their respective districts as notified examination centers. The candidates who are placed in top merit as per district quota in second stage examination will be eligible for the scholarship
Scholarships (Amount & Duration)
One hundred (100) scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit in the 2nd Stage SJMMSSExamination for 3 YEARS (Class VI to Class VIII) as follows:
- Scholarship of Rs. 4000/- per month, for 12 months in Class VI
- Scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month, for 12 months in Class VII
- Scholarship of Rs.6000/- per month, for 12 months in Class VIII
