There will be a written objective type (MCQ) examination for all the eligible candidates. Marks obtained in written objective type examination (MCQ) shall be counted for deciding the merit of the candidates. Final selection of candidate will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written objective type examination, and his/her performance in the interview/personality test as detail belog. If the candidates score equal marks, then an candidate who is senior in age will be placed above the candidate junior in age.

  1. Written objective type Examination (MCQ) = 85 Marks
  2. Interview/Personality Test = 15 Marks

Syllabus for Written Examination for Laboratory Technician : There will be 85 questions in all. Each question will carry one mark

Objective type questions (MCQ) of syllabus of Diploma of Medical Laboratory Technology60 Marks
Objective type questions (MCQ) related to General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh15 Marks
Objective type questions (MCQ) related to General Knowledge of National/International Level10 Marks
Total85 Marks

Educational Qualification for Laboratory Technician

i) 10+2 in Science from a recognized Board of School Education.
ii) Should possesses a Diploma in Medical Laboratory technology from an Institution duly recognized by the H.P. Government/ Central Government.
OR
B.Sc. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University or from an Institution duly recognized by the H.P. Government/Central Government.
iii) Must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Para Medical Council.
