Education Department of Chandigarh invited online application from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Special Educators (JBT/TGT) on regulars basis. Interested candidates may apply online on official website of Chandigarh Education Department.

Educational Qualification :

Special Educatot : TGT

(A) (i) Graduation from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree (Special Education) recognized by RCI with at least 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration with RCI.
OR
(B) (i) Graduation from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii)Bachelor of Education Degree with two year Diploma (Special Education) or its equivalent recognized by RCI with at least 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration with RCI.
OR
(C) (i)Graduation from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii)Bachelor of Education Degree with Post Graduate Professional Diploma (Special Education) or its equivalent recognized by RCI with at least 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration with RCI.

Special Educator (IBT)

The candidate should possess the essential qualification as on the Closing date of submission of application.
(i) Graduation or its equivalent from a recognised University (ii) Two years Diploma (Special Education) or its equivalent recognized by RCI with at least 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration with RCI.
In view of the DOPT letter of 25.11.2019 candidate shall fulfil the condition. regarding ICT as under for the post of Special Educator (TGT) and Special Educator (JBT):
“Certificate of ICT skill course.e. course on computer concepts (CCC) 80 hours from a Govt. recognized institutions OR a reputed institution which is an ISO 9001 certified OR Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Govt. of India OR from NIELIT and its authorized institutions at the time of their appointment.”

Age Limit :

Upto 37 years. Age is to be as on 01-01-2023.
i. SC/OBC/ESM/PwD or any other category candidates will be given age relaxation as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India & Department of Personnel Chandigarh Administration. Under OBC category, candidates of those castes will be given benefits which are included in Union Territory, Chandigarh list.
ii. Contract Teachers, Guest Teachers and Teachers/Resource Teachers under Samagra Shiksha working in Govt. Schools of Chandigarh will be given age relaxation equal to the period rounded to nearby month they worked in Govt. Schools under Chandigarh Administration. This relaxation will be applicable to the above category of teachers who are working in Education Department Chandigarh/Samagra Shiksha Chandigarh on closing date for submission of application for the post of Special Educators (TGT & JBT)
iii. Age relaxation to other categories will be given as per instructions of Government of India. No candidate will be accorded age relaxation and benefit of reservation unless he/she attaches the requisite certificate issued by competent authority at the time of document verification.
