Syllabus for the Post of Range Forest Officer (Preliminary) – HPPSC Shimla

The written Objective Type Screening Test of Two hours duration will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 100 Marks. Each question will be of one marks. Objective type screening of 100 Multiple Choice Question from :

For Non-Forestry Graduates :

  1. History, Geography and Socio Economic Development of Himachal Pradesh- 30 Marks.
  2. Knowledge of Current Event of National and international important and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject – 30 Marks.
  3. Modern History (from 1857 onwards) of India, Indian Culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India, Disaster Management, Environment and Gender issues and teaching of Mahatma Gandhi – 40 Marks.

For Forestry Graduates :

  1. Forestry Subject = 80 Marks
  2. General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh = 10 Marks
  3. General Knowledge of National and International Affairs = 10 Marks
